Two Poems by Mile Ristovic

QUADRATURE OF THE CIRCLE

View with eyes in the general sense

Two ways of existing

One in the East

Another in the West

One is birth

Another is death

One is going from circle to square

Another from square to circle

Between the tower aleph and the tower

Omega

Between the Athos and Kappadocia

Between the male and female

Between the cube and the sphere

A perfect number

The measure which describes

The infinitely small

Between two dreams

POET

In the shape of ancient play

He dreams trails for the people

In the radiance of the rainbow

He calls dreams for the bird

He eavesdrops on the messages of the plants

It continues all of the year

Captured in childhood

He points the future

He forgives to the water and sun.

On his palm he stirs up the fireplace.

With love in his eyes

He memorizes the beauty with poems
